Dana Stenvick handles all aspects of civil litigation, including arbitration, mediation and trial as well as civil writs and appeals.  Presently, Dana focuses her litigation practice on labor and employment matters, disputes involving health insurance coverage, medical malpractice appeals, and general business matters.  Before joining Cole Pedroza, Dana was an associate at large full service law firm, where she focused her practice on the representation of insurers in third-party coverage disputes, including bad faith and declaratory relief suits.  Dana also has extensive experience drafting insurance coverage opinions and advising multi-national insurance companies on various regulatory issues.

After being admitted to the California State Bar in 2007, Dana served as a judicial law clerk at the Los Angeles Superior Court assigned to two unlimited jurisdiction civil law judges.  During her two years with the Court, Dana developed a great familiarity with the civil litigation process and learned to approach civil law and motion matters from a judge’s perspective.  This experience has enabled her to bring a unique knowledge of civil practice to the firm and its clients.

Dana graduated cum laude from California State Polytechnic University in 2003 where she earned a degree in Philosophy.  She went on to graduate cum laude from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School in 2007 where she held editorial positions on the Buffalo Women’s Law Journal and the Buffalo Environmental Law Journal and worked as a legislative extern for a New York State Assemblymember.  She was the 2007 recipient of the National Association of Women Lawyers Student Achievement Award and was the 2006 regional finalist in the American Bar Association’s Representation in Mediation Competition. She also earned an International Law Certificate from SUNY Buffalo and studied at the Salzburg Institute of Comparative Law in Salzburg, Austria under Associate Justice Anthony Kennedy.

Dana is admitted to practice before all California State and District Courts.  She is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association Appellate Division and provides pro bono legal services on behalf of parents seeking to adopt children out of foster care through the Alliance for Children’s Rights.
