Amy Rankin represents clients from across diverse industries in all aspects of civil litigation. She has represented clients in single-plaintiff, multi-plaintiff, and class-action cases. Amy’s practice focuses primarily on general employment litigation and appeals. She has experience handling matters involving discrimination, wrongful termination, retaliation, pay equity, and wage-and-hour violations. Amy also has experience handling healthcare payor-provider disputes as well as general litigation matters.
Prior to joining Cole Pedroza LLP, Amy worked as an associate in the Employment Law Department in the Los Angeles office of Paul Hastings LLP. Amy also served as a law clerk to the Honorable R. Gary Klausner in the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
Amy received her J.D. from Loyola Law School, where she graduated Order of the Coif. While in law school, she served as a Technical Editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review and as a judicial extern to the Honorable Beverly Reid O’Connell. Amy received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California Santa Barbara, cum laude.
Amy is admitted to practice in California, before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and before the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
